1. How do I package and send media
to DataBank Data Services?
Media must be packaged properly to minimize any further damage.
For details, along with mailing information, please see our
shipping instructions .
2. What is the turnaround time for data recovery?
Turnaround time can vary with the level of service desired.
Service options range from Standard, to Priority to Emergency.
Under
the Standard Service agreement, work is performed during
regular business hours. Your project moves to the head of the
line
with Priority Service, and Emergency Service gives your project
round-the-clock
attention.

Our evaluation fee varies with the level of service. That
fee is nonrefundable, but it is applicable toward recovery
costs.
After completing an evaluation, we will provide you with
a report describing how much data is recoverable, along
with a fixed fee
quote to complete the recovery. Most recoveries range from
$500 to $1600 per drive.
4. Does DataBank send work out?
Our on-site clean room and laboratory facilities allow
us to perform all of our work in-house. For further information,
please see Clean Room and Laboratory Facilities .

what types of media can you recover data?
DataBank Data Services can recover data from virtually any type of
electronic media.
6. What is DataBank Data Services' policy on confidentiality?
As part of our agreement with the customer, DataBank
Data Services maintains confidence of all data. We retain data
for only a few days
after a data recovery; then we wipe it. We do not
retain any data unless
the customer makes prior arrangements in that regard.
7. Will
I get the original hard drives back? If so, what condition
will they be in?
DataBank Data Services will be happy to return your original
hard drive if you so desire. That specification
can be
made on the
evaluation report. DataBank Data Services makes every effort
to minimize any alteration
of the data on the original drive or the drive
itself. You should receive the drive back in its
original
condition, unless
it had
to be opened in a clean environment.
